American Idiots
In responce to The Nobel Antidote
An honorable decision not to award a prize.

You Mango and Applebaum do make a lovely fruit salad, your opinions however, are not so palatable, I initially disagreed with the decision the award President Obama the Nobel Peace price mainly because the short time he has been in office. Reading similar stories the wisdom of the Nobel committee is clear. We faced 8yr that changed the way the nation thinks collectively, you said "BO and Socialist Democrats and Bureaucratic Czars... are actually trying to deconstruct our Constitution, Bill of Rights and our Democratic Republic and replace it with a hybrid of socialism, fascism, Marxism and communism."
Divisive, inaccurate, they are trying to give the American way back to Americans; the Bush Administration r@ped the Constitution, Bill of Rights- think of free speech zones> where were you guys then, standing in front of the white house in protest? or were you too busy with bring back our troops signs or chanting mindlessly G_d bless America?-Now of course people question, speak-up when TPOTUS is honored by the international community. We truly are a Nation of American Idiots.

Hey, People warned me Carl Sagan was Evil!
It seems that American brains have become like our waistlines, accustomed to fast food; every thing must be consumed fast other wise it will not hold our attention. The same can be said for the way we approach science or technology. I guess in this scenario the fast food places would be those that provide expanding technologies (Apple) for every day use.
I often feel annoyed when I talk to someone about new scientic discoveries,they look as If I was trying to tourture them. If you watch the clip that goes with this story you'll see what im talking about.

I'm Moderate(d)
Nettrice- I love you for being an American that is so passionate for OUR country.
Before u have the Feds drag me off to Abu Ghraib or label me a worst monster than Polanski consider what I am saying...it has been all knee jerk reactions since 911 we allowed the constitution to be raped by GWB - we have lost what we should treasure the most-being an American.
Being an American meant that, if someone disagreed with us we did our best to not censor them; while at the same time, not allowing chaos from radical minds to take root. Now it is all about being a generically homogeneous American (Devoid of voicing an unpopular opinion, belief, or idea). Today unless you bless America on regular intervals you’re labeled anti-American, I have wept at this new America. I long for the nation that demanded accountability from all of its citizens, The Obama Admin has begun to give a small measure of hope for what we lost. I, am an American, I am AN AMERICAN, I AM AN AMERICAN!
You want to talk about security risks? Our nation seems hell bent in letting the forces of Atrophy win.
As for public forums (they were supposed to serve all) It would be enough to post a disclaimer condone such actions without censor ship, is it to much to ask our citizenry to use common sense?
All I’m asking that we get all the facts first an opinion is not treason!

Money, Money, Money, Money, Money...As a man I don't pretend that I can speak for Women (Hell, I can't even speak for myself on most days) So imagine how trilled I am to hear, Marcus Buckingham will be on this very forum, to tell those silly little things in mini skirts we call women why their lives suck. I have a deep affinity for self-help, self-promoting, Pabulum Puking, self-discovering gurus. I do declare, he must secretly have a vagina. He speaks on the following topics: "What's Happening to Women's Happiness?" Find Your Strongest Life: What the Happiest and Most Successful Women Do Differently," How does he keep his suits free of milk stains when he's lactating? Genious move, let a guy speak on womens issues. I think a man is the best choice for this topic, who else could write about the struggles of successful women YOU? a woman (pssft!)
Reading your article Ms.Money, Money, Money, Money, Money...Sorry Ms. Huffington, it would seem that since the 70's regardless of their lot in live, pesky women seem hell-bent on being miserable. All I can offer is that mayyyybe; it has to do with the money thing. Consider the following, as women began to take a bigger role in society, they were still expected to “bring home the bacon and fry it-up in a pan” not to mention balance check books, clean the house, wipe dirty bottoms, act like almighty deities and satisfy men’s sexual needs (straight, BI-SEXUAL and everything in between). As to why men seem to become happier I am perplexed, maybe I’ll ask the fellas next time we play our three times a-week golf game. I’m loving this, now (I have always been in absolute awe of my wife’s ability to put-up with my neurosis, her unyielding quiet strength and goodness) I get to tell my wife to stop her winning, because it is she who’s causing her own discontent. Maybe she should get a second job, have you seen green fees lately? Money, Money, Money, Money, Money...

Sooo,What are you waitng for? Spend all your retirement money, Have an affair on your (insert expletive here_____) mate, Kill someone who you feel deserves it, have a sex change and the change it back or be neutered. But to those who still like cling to superstition I propose the following. make a list of 5 things, beliefs, that you question; other that your-own. Then state in any way, why you think each is wrong, false, caca, ect...Too hard i'll give you some to start you off:

Share your list with you friends, and have them make their own. Go over the lists and you will see that some of your beliefs are viewed as wrong or ridiculed by others; impossible, heresy you're always right you're beliefs are the truth...so why the dissention by others? Because no matter what humans still gravitate to myths, strange tales;even the morbid ones in order to explain why we are here, and how all will end.( and all prose to have the superior truth) So no harm believe what you will because I know one thing (maybe more) The world will end when:

The possibility of survival in a century -- less than one percent, not very good odds. Communications interrupted. Their world society had failed; they had made the ultimate mistake. I felt a longing to return to earth.
The television transmissions from earth rushed past me, expanding away from our planet at the speed of light. Then suddenly -- silence, total and absolute. But the dream was not yet done.

It is sooo full of optimism, good cheer, and puppies, rainbows and unicorns!
But what it really reminds me is of the scams, that pump you full of ideas that are supposed to transform you into a superhuman. Most of the people leave comments that lead you to their own sites, where Lo and Behold! You are treated to something (not tangible) that is supposed to fix your life.
Come on which Scientologist, vegan hippie, new age guru is behind this dribble?
I propose a challenge; since all you self-discovering, life coaching gurus (I, more than anyone I know live by the principles of personal accountability, so please don't say I’m the one who has to take the steps that will bring me to success) have the answers; contact me transform me I'm open. Think of it, what a greater achievement then to help a miserable grouch such as myself.

Hip, Hip...Hypocrisy!

People seem to have lost perspective when it comes to this case. This is an obvious abuse of power by the D.A. and Mayor. I have read most comments in this forum; and say that while valid points are made; most of the postings are from a sports fan point of view. I think most are angry at what they see as rich sports personality acting like a spoil brat. Well, the keyword seems to be “rich” and fans think that because they stupidly pony-up obscene amounts of cash, they should dictate the behavior of an individual in a free society. Fans grow frakking-up. And don't pay so much money on sports. The issue is clear, Burress made a series of bad choices that led him to where he is now:

I have read most comments in this forum; and say that while valid points are made; most of the postings are from a sports fan point of view. I think most are angry at what they see as rich sports personality acting like a spoil brat. Well, the keyword seems to be “rich” and fans think that because they stupidly pony-up obscene amounts of cash, they should dictate the behavior of an individual in a free society. Fans grow frakking-up. And don't pay so much money on sports. The issue is clear, Burress made a series of bad choices that led him to where he is now:
Taking the gun without a valid permit. Taking a plea deal in NYC (NYC jurors are notorious for taking side of one of their own) One has to wonder why the Mayor and NYC DA went so far. Lets take a look:
Both the Mayor and the DA are white males, over 60; rich have an apparent blatant record of supporting white cops involved in shooting black males (black cops as well) always in favor of the white cops. (At worst they seem to get retraining, why not the same for Burress?) Now they claim that they needed to send a message to out of control sports celebrities. Really, other than being a jerk (as I read it not a sports fan. had to look at burgess history before posting) Burress had not been accused of any crimes, was trained in the use of handguns was licensed, and is a family man. Those 2 should just wave the confederate flag, and sing we put that uppity BOY in his place. Seems like a harsh statement on the 2 well consider; Morgenthau has been DA since 1977 and has been re-elected seven times. He has not been opposed in a general election since 1985 and at 90 carries all the dogmatic views of someone his age - The DA office is in need of transfusion of new blood.
According to Bloomberg, Burress is another spoil rich Celeb that thinks the rules doesn’t apply to or should be bent for him. Did he (Bloomy) forget his recent violations when ” Asked if he'd be interested in making it 16 years at City Hall, Bloomberg responded, "The law does not permit it." That's true - but it's also true that the limit was two four-year terms before he made a massive push to get the City Council to change the rules, even though voters twice said two terms were all a mayor should get". No, we cannot just get along!
I don't know how I get into these things - I guess the universe is a b-tch that wants to keep me grouchy. The following is my response to the most intellectually challenged website(EVER for now, maybe) my response is below.

Yeah smelly, ugly, non-showering, interbred, turban wearing, monkeys. Whether Hindu or some other kind of other dude; Pakistani, Hindustani they are all Stanis to me.

Seems that somewhere along the way SP remembered that Indians; particularly Gujaratis (99.9% are Patels)know each other, or someone that knows you to a scary degree of certainty. The fear alone probably turned him ghostly white. He knows he would get a lot of anger directed at him from the Indian community.
Undoubtedly he is a bit dishonest when he claims that it was bad encounters with a few Germans while on vacation that made him so venomous. Mortgage Cake
This story (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/32186013/) makes me want to put my scrotum on a bench vice and squeeze; until I can hit mezzo-soprano notes. The uplifting tale floating around is about a NJ woman that came up with a brilliant plan to get out of foreclosure, so what would set your friendly blog grouch off?
"Ms. Logan had a home construction project to repair storm damage and make other improvements to her home. The contractor turned out to be less than honest and hit Logan with thousands of dollars in overcharges she hadn’t planned on. Then an agency that represented Logan in her work as an actor went under, taking thousands of dollars she had coming to her with it".(Mike CelizicTODAYShow.com contributor)
Now all of as sudden, people flock to hand 40 bucks of their hard earned money to help her get out of her mess. What is wrong with that you might say? Then consider the mortgage crisis. It was born out of the greed of financial institutions and individuals that, knowingly purchased Homes they could not afford. Well you know how the story the goes: the government decided to give all those bozo our money to bail them out.
Now it's people like Ms Logan that coming up with excuses- I got ripped off by my contractor and my job didn't pay me! So buy my expensive cake and bail me out of my blunder. Boo hoo! Hey, why not help all saps that have a sad tale. What’s next? Are people are going to start making cakes for any occasion for example: I got a parking ticket- $40 cake, I need to do the laundry $50 cake, a butterfly farted $60 cake. All this is a weird version of stone soup, except at the end of this tale you end with a pricey cake and get to feel good(if your dumb to fall for this scam). If you want to give your hard earned money to people that made stupid chooses; fine, I would love to get $49.99 from you. In return I will send you in my finest hand writing, a thankful note. If this sounds stupid well it is (and so is giving people handouts when they make bad, selfish, financial choices). The best way to feel good about yourself is to stop enabling people and make your own damn cake. You may even find a con and make yourself some money.
